Kampenwand in Bavaria

Hi!!! we are in Aschau Chiemgau region, 50 km east of munich, friends prefer to take the car cable to the summit.

Schloss Hohenaschau. In the last third of the 12th Century built by Conrad and Arnold Hirnsberg the Hohenaschau castle as a base at the entrance to the Upper Priental.

Base car cable station near Hohenaschau.

The Kampenwand is a 1669m high mountain in the Bavarian Alps. In winter there is a small ski resort, in the summer an area of paragliders. Even with rock climbers, hikers and mountain bikers, the mountain is popular. In particular, the south side of the mountain offers numerous climbing routes of all levels.

Alpengasthof: a typical wood-made bayarian house at Steinlingalm

Staffelstein is actually just a small stone
for climbing north of Kampenwand.
at the same place (Staffelstein) many many years ago!!
